Houghlin Funeral Home
was founded by E. Ray and Margaret Rogers Houghlin in 1947 after Ray Houghlin
returned from serving in the Navy during World War II. They continued their
family owned operation and in 1971 purchased their competitors funeral
home. Houghlin Funeral Home has been the only funeral home in Northeast
Nelson Co. since 1971. In 1980, Ray Houghlin lost a courageous battle with
cancer and the day to day operations were turned over to their son, Rayfield
"Field" Houghlin.
Houghlin Funeral Home celebrated
60 years of service to their community in 2007. We are proud and honored
to be serving the community and look forward to many more years of service
as always, with our family serving yours.
